October.. how is the year going so fast? We have some great things planned for this month and I have a milestone birthday! Bye Bye to my twenties!
My boys are most excited for Halloween. Last year was the first year we properly made some decorations and they had the experience of trick or treating!
I’ve been browsing pinterest for some ideas of crafts for the boys and I thought I would share some of the great ones I found!
Let me know if you make any of them and if you have any others that your children love to make.
1. Ghost Feet Pictures
2. Hanging Ghosts
3. Paper Plate Silhoettes
4. Marshmallow Pops
Bepanthen kindly asked us to take part in their Bedtime Challenge.
We’ve been using Bepanthen for 2 weeks now and applying it as part of our bedtime routine. Each evening, my boys have a bath with Aveeno bath and body wash and moisturised with Diprobase, we have then been applying Bepanthen to Charlie’s bottom. Although Charlie hasn’t suffered badly with nappy rash, he does have sensitive skin and at times his nappies cause reactions to his bottom.
We’ve found the cream itself really easy to apply, its not too thick and washes off really easily. Some creams we have used in the past are very sticky and hard to get off between nappy changes.
It’s also a fairly neutral odour and didnt seem to bother Charlie when I applied it to some nappy rash that appeared one evening. Some we have used sting when applied but there was no reaction.
We only applied thin layers of the cream and that was all that was needed to protect his little bottom, which is great as a small tube will last a long time!
Bepanthen is the only leading nappy care product to meet all the 9 Gold standards of an ideal nappy care product and with Charlie suffering with eczema and sensitive skin it has been great to find a product that not only protects his bottom but also cares for it with pro-vitamin B5.
WHATS GREAT ABOUT BEPANTHEN?
- No unnecessary ingredients
- Free from potentially toxic ingredients
- Maintains optimum moisture levels
- Enhances the natural protection of the skin
WOULD WE RECOMMEND BEPANTHEN?
We have had no problems with this cream and it cleared up nappy rash really quickly. We have had problems in the past with creams causing reactions on Charlie’s senstive skin, but Bepanthen has proved to be efficent and naturally suitable for babies and toddlers. We would highly recommend Bepanthen Ointment!

Have any of you started thinking of Christmas yet?
Sometimes in life, you need to escape. Escape from the demands of work, parenthood and general day to day pressures. Many people find comfort in their own home but for me this just adds to my stresses and I find more and more things to worry about.
So how do I deal with those hard days? When I am I being pulled in so many directions, i don’t know where to turn first. I pack up the car and head to my favourite place. Cornwall.Whether this be to the beach, to a cosy part of the coast line or simply to an outdoor forest full of fresh air, it offers me total freedom from everything I’ve been thinking about.
The boys get to run around without fear, I get to watch their happy faces and the peace aids my sinking mind. These few hours give me time to reflect on what is important and make tasks more managable and I realise there is no point in worrying about those silly things at 3am.
I am so grateful to live next to a beautiful county full of adventures and breathtaking scenary. I want my boys to grow up knowing they can escape to a great place and realise the true importance of life and not feel under pressure in the neverending spiral we call life.
I’ll leave you with some great pictures of the Cornish coast which always leave me happy.
What’s for Tea this week?! Does anybody else dread the task of meal planning. My boys have become so fussy recently it’s so hard to cater for everyone. But let’s hope this suits everyone this week:

TUESDAY – Spaghetti and Meatballs
WEDNESDAY – Sweet & Sour Chicken and Rice & Veg
THURSDAY – Pasta Bake &Veg
FRIDAY – Tuna Steaks & Vegetable Rice

The last week has been a write off to be honest. You know those weeks where things just don’t go your way.
I thought my week was looking up when a bird kindly pooed on my head however this was not to be and if anything things went from bad to worse. I won’t bore you with the details, just know that I will be hibernating this bank holiday weekend and catching up on some sleep!
On another note, how is it the last week of the summer holidays?! I feel like its flown by and I haven’t done half the stuff I wanted to with Dude. I need to make a list of the must do’s, he had a list he was desperate to do and I want to make sure he’s had the best summer ever before Year one starts!
In regards to school, all uniform has been bought and labelled and we are ready to go!
My next challenge is when Bear starts pre school at the end of September.. my baby boy off in the big wide world! <hides in denial>
Happy Bank Holiday Weekend!
